Hello everyone,

I thought it might be a good idea to give you some background to your new County Coach, at the same time as making use of our new website, which I’m sure under the stewardship of Peter Goode will go from strength to strength. 

I am a Level 3 coach based in Worthing, West Sussex and I bowl for Marine Gardens B.C. which, for those who don’t know it, is situated on Worthing seafront.

I am still in the process of finding out exactly what I have let myself in for, but John Bevan has been a great help in me ‘getting my feet under the table’ and I’m sure I will call on him a number of times over the coming months as I try to familiarize myself with the responsibilities of the position.

I’m very lucky to be inheriting a thriving coaching set-up, ably supervised by the four Divisional Coaches, and whilst making sure I give them all the assistance and back-up they require to continue their excellent work, I shall also use their extensive knowledge of the history of coaching in the County to ensure that we continue to move standards forward where we can and continue to be seen as one of the most progressive Counties in the Region.

Looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can, as quickly as I can.
